Your learning pathway

You’llcomplete theLevel4 Business Analyst apprenticeship.As aBusiness Analyst, your jobis tounderstand how a business works, find ways to improve it andhelpthe businessusetechnologytomake things work better. 

You will work with different people across the business to understand their needs andhelpdesignpossible solutionsthat will meet these. Your role is important to act as a bridge between teams, making sure everyone understands the problem and agrees on the best solution.

Yourrole also includes understanding and mapping out how the business currently works and helping plan any changes to the way people work or to IT systems. You’llbring together information from different people, organise it clearly, anddocumentwhat the new system or process should do. Your apprenticeship will cover the following:

  • Using clear methods to investigate problems and find opportunities  

  • Understanding, mapping and improving how work gets done  

  • Figuring out what data a business needs to make better decisions  

  • Helping people understand and manage changes in the business  

  • Helping design how information is organised and connected  

  • Talking to different people to understand what they need  

  • Document the changes being made including thecosts,benefitsand impact.

What you'll be doing

You’llbe part of a friendly and supportive team with lots of experience and knowledge, working closely with people across the business to understand how things work and how to make them better. Our team uses data,technologyand collaboration to deliver improvements, giving you the chance to build strong skills across a variety of projects.You’ll:

  • Collaborate across the business to understandhow their currentprocesseswork and whatchallengesthey face, gathering information to support improvements.

  • Help map andunderstandhow tasks are currently done,identifyingopportunities to simplify orimprove to make it work better.

  • Support theteam by documenting what thebusinessneeds from new processes or systems, turning discussions and findings into clear, easy to understanddocuments.

  • Assistwith collecting and reviewing data to help the team understandpatterns,issuesor opportunities.

  • Take part in project activities such as meetingsand workshops, helping to keep tasks organised and moving forward.

Entry requirements

  • 5 GCSEs grade 4 and above, including Maths and English

  • 3 A Levels grade C and above (or equivalent)
