JOB SUMMARY
Act as lead Architect and lead solution developer for Digital solutions – which include and are defined as:
- All mobile and web solutions including Dennys.com, E-commerce, mobile apps, content management solutions
- Infrastructure and configuration through both internal and external teams for all domains, e-commerce, mobile and web applications
- Virtual Restaurant web properties
- Integrations with CRM and e-commerce partners
- Digital in-restaurant solutions and technologies – kiosk, self-checkout, and customer facing solutions
Primary responsibilities include:
- Develop and build solutions for all Denny’s digital and e-commerce properties
- Direct management, coding, and development in Drupal web-based content management systems
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or Android SDK
- Research and develop new solutions and innovation for digital and e-commerce solutions
- Thought lead and directly manage personnel responsible for web and mobile development
- Manage 3rd party vendors for delivery of all digital solutions
- Develop and execute annual roadmaps for Digital, e-commerce, and in-restaurant digital experiences
- Manage innovation interns and co-ops for digital solutions
ESSENTIAL FUNTIONS ( Key Responsibilities)
- Lead the development of and introduction of Digital technology innovation grounded in business purpose, especially in the areas of restaurant operations and guest experience
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or Android SDK
- Direct management, coding, and development in Drupal web-based content management systems
- Develop, in partnership with other IT leaders, the Digital technology strategy for restaurant systems that is centered on standard, secure, scalable and sustainable solutions
- Work with IT Business Relationship team to Communicate and collaborate on the current IT plan to support business functional needs, especially on the next-generation solutions
- Work with IT Business Relationship team to understand and deliver upon the needs of functional areas in the IT strategy, planning and delivery stages; represent IT strategic intent to the business functional areas
- Keep current with emerging technology trends as they relate to restaurant operations and guest experience needs
- Collaborate with IT Infrastructure (Technology Systems) and Technical Services to identify IT process and infrastructure improvement
- Keep current with best practices in introduction of holistic and strategic technologies, while protecting operational controls and processes
- Maximize vendor relationships and IT investment to support current business needs as well as to scale to enable new capabilities
- Introduce and lead the Architecture Review Board within IT, providing guidance and expertise to a diverse set of business solutions, security, data, and other architects
- Work to build and maintain a technology roadmap that will establish a technical foundation for innovation within restaurant operations to enable consumer engagement.

EDUCATIONAL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or business discipline; Advanced degree or relevant experience.
EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years of leadership within IT, where experience was gained with large-scale technology implementations and / or large-scale change enabled by technology.
- Direct experience with emerging technologies, strategic innovation, and IT architecture.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Proven track record in delivery of large, complex initiatives where technology is the driver / enabler.
- Understanding of and experience in defining and managing a portfolio of products and / or services that enable new capabilities for an organization.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or Android SDK
- Multiple years of leadership experience within restaurant, retail, or food & beverage industries preferred.
- Experience and knowledge of software / technologies along with best practices of leveraging technology to drive competitive advantage in operations or guest experience.
- Proven ability to collaborate, negotiate, and influence senior leaders, focused on business process improvements, technology strategy; prioritization and phasing of key initiatives.
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum:$104,000.00 - Maximum:$143,000.00Please note that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which the position falls.
