Crown Innovations is hiring an Installation Technician to work alongside our Electronics Technician team supporting the installation of radio communication facilities. This is a hands-on role for someone who can install duct bank, operate a mini-excavator and skid steer, and pour/finish concrete. You’ll be part of a field crew building critical infrastructure, so safety, quality workmanship, and professionalism are essential.
The work requires 100% Travel.
A clean record and a valid driver’s license are required. Candidates must be able to pass a government background check for a Public Trust.
What You’ll Do
Read and interpret schematics, drawings, and blueprints
Perform trenching and excavation activities
Install underground conduit systems and duct bank
Pull and secure cables (including routing up 60’+ towers)
Calculate concrete requirements; form, pour, and finish concrete
Perform exothermic welding (training provided if needed)
Operate skid steer and mini-excavator safely and efficiently
Work side-by-side with electronics technicians during site builds and equipment installation
Troubleshoot field construction challenges and identify the most efficient path forward
Maintain jobsite cleanliness, safety practices, and proper tool/material handling
Hourly rate is $25-$40, depending on experience
High School Diploma (or equivalent)
100% travel required
Valid, current driver’s license (clean driving record required)
Must be able to pass a government background check for a Public Trust.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Foreign National with a permanent resident card.
Must have a credit card for travel (reimbursable weekly per company policy)
Several years of construction experience, including common hand tools and power tools
Ability to operate mini-excavator and skid steer (required)
Willingness and ability to climb towers (often 60+ feet) and pass a Competent Tower Climbing class
Ability to perform hard physical work for 10-hour workdays in outdoor conditions
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work safely with minimal supervision
Minimum 5 years of relevant construction experience (duct bank/conduit, concrete finishing, excavation, equipment operation).
Required: 2-year degree or certificate program in Construction Technology, Heavy Equipment, Electrical/Mechanical Technology, Utilities, or related trade program (or equivalent accredited program).
