• Conducts on-site investigations of claims
• Sets loss reserves
• Prepares reports by collecting and summarizing information
• Settles claims by determining insurance carrier's liability
• Recommends litigation when appropriate
• Presents evidence at legal proceedings
• Maintains expected case load
• Maintains company reputation and integrity of insurance products
• Makes sales calls to solicit new business or maintain existing clients
• Assists junior adjusters
