Cove started with renting coliving spaces. Now we’ve expanded to more than just coliving spaces, providing flexibility for comfortable and enjoyable long term or short term stays in our beautiful properties. With over 8000 rooms across APAC, we’re living our mission and growing our homes in Singapore, Indonesia, South Korea and Japan.

Believing in the power of a team, we aim to build the leading tech flexible living platform in Asia Pacific, providing high quality and community-centric accommodations. Here we also encourage authenticity and fun to fully embrace being human in a driven and result focused environment to make things happen and ensure the dream becomes a reality.

Working in our Singapore office at Pearl’s Hills terrace, means being surrounded by a unique blend of traditional charm and modern energy. With historic landmarks, cozy cafes, and cultural spots nearby, our office offers an inspiring environment that enhances creativity and productivity.

Come enjoy the journey with us and become a Cove Superstar!!

What you’ll be doing:As a Quantity Surveyor at Cove, you will act as the financial gatekeeper for our property transformations. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our expansion is cost-effective without compromising the quality and aesthetic that our tenants love.

  • Cost Planning & Estimation: Prepare preliminary cost estimates and feasibility studies for new potential properties and fit-out projects (CapEx) to support business decisions.
  • Tendering & Procurement: Manage the tender process for interior fit-outs and renovation works. This includes sourcing contractors, preparing tender documentation, analyzing quotes, and negotiating for the best value.
  • Contract Administration: Draft and manage contracts with vendors, main contractors, and suppliers to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
  • Project Financial Management: Monitor project progress and costs. You will validate progress claims, manage Variation Orders (VOs), and prepare final accounts upon project completion.
  • Value Engineering: Collaborate with the Design and Projects teams to identify cost-saving opportunities (value engineering) while maintaining Cove’s design standards.
  • Vendor Management: Build and maintain a robust database of reliable contractors and suppliers to ensure speed and quality for future projects.

What makes you a great fit: We are looking for someone who loves numbers but also understands the fast-paced nature of a high-growth startup. You are precise, firm in negotiations, but collaborative in spirit.

  • Education & Experience: A Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building Management, or Civil Engineering with at least 2–4 years of relevant experience.
  • Industry Background: Experience in Interior Fit-out (ID), Hospitality, or Residential renovation projects is highly preferred over heavy civil infrastructure experience.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of local construction contract forms (SIA/REDAS) and market rates for materials and labor in Singapore. Proficiency in MS Excel is a must.
  • Negotiation Skills: You are comfortable communicating with contractors and suppliers to drive cost efficiencies while maintaining healthy working relationships.
  • Agility: You can manage multiple small-to-medium scale projects simultaneously and adapt quickly to changes in a dynamic startup environment.
  • Culture Fit: You are result-oriented, authentic, and ready to bring a "can-do" attitude to the team.

In 2018, three young entrepreneurs – Luca, Guillaume, and Sophie – embarked on a mission to redefine urban living with the founding of Cove. With personal insights gained from renting properties across numerous cities, they recognized a pressing need to transform the rental experience for modern tenants. The journey began with a vision: to create vibrant co-living spaces that not only serve as places to live but foster a sense of community among renters.

Cove has swiftly evolved into a leading flexible living and home rental company, strategically positioned in prime locations across Singapore, Indonesia, South Korea, and Japan. Every Cove home is designed to meet the needs of young professionals, students, and travelers, blending comfort with style. The properties offer flexibility, allowing short or long-term rentals with the assurance of no hidden fees.
