Corgi is an insurance company building technology that makes commercial insurance simple, fast, and transparent. We serve small businesses across the US with products including general liability, cyber, crime, and umbrella coverage. We are growing quickly and raising capital.
The Role
We need someone who treats the company money like it is their own. This is not a data-entry bookkeeping job. You will own the full cycle of expense reimbursement, vendor management, and financial operations for a fast-moving startup. You will work directly with leadership and have real visibility into how the business runs.
What You Will Do
Process and scrutinize expense reimbursements. Not rubber-stamp them.
Manage vendor relationships and negotiate where there is room.
Bookkeeping as the baseline, not the whole job. Surface patterns and flag trends.
Ad-hoc finance research: pulling data, building models, answering questions fast.
Direct vendor and partner calls when needed.
Close your own loops. If something needs chasing, chase it.
Who You Are
Studied or worked in finance, accounting, or a related field. Entry-level is fine if you are sharp.
You actually care about where money goes.
Detail-oriented without being slow.
Low ego. This role spans spreadsheets to phone calls to ad-hoc projects.
