Global Media Campaigner

We’re looking for a bold, strategic, and action-oriented Global Media Campaigner—someone who can organize impactful offline actions, craft compelling media strategies, and build strong relationships with journalists. This role is for a doer—someone who doesn’t just pitch stories but ensures our message is heard loud and clear. You’ll be on the front lines, turning public outcry into action and action into real-world victories.
About the Role
As Global Media Campaigner, you will play a pivotal role in shaping CitizenGO’s public messaging. You’ll be responsible for organizing and executing offline actions, leading media outreach, and ensuring our campaigns resonate far and wide. You will turn petitions into movements and movements into victories.
This is not a behind-the-scenes role. You will be actively engaging with journalists, mobilizing supporters, and ensuring our message reaches decision-makers. Your work will directly influence culture, politics, and policy—a rare opportunity to make a tangible impact on issues that matter.

What You'll Do
- You will organize offline actions in collaboration with Campaigners: propose, handle, evaluate, and develop offline actions like rallies, sit-ins, signature deliveries, stunts, newspaper ads, billboards, polls, videos, etc.
- You will deliver a strong media strategy to win campaigns and build the brand through impactful offline actions.
- You will organize campaign actions and logistics, from ad buys to public petition deliveries, and provide support with general logistical needs.
- You will support campaign deliveries on the ground in case the local campaigner is physically performing the corresponding offline action.
- You will support the execution of high-profile, highly targeted press coverage for key campaigns and profile pieces.
- You will draft releases, op-eds, and talking points with strong messaging.
- You will establish connections with influencers, journalists, and activists on social media to enhance the reach of our campaigns.
- You will step in to support campaign teams with other needs to ensure campaigns are successful, including providing direct support to senior staff, campaign fact-checking and issue research, and email drafting.
- You will monitor nationwide and worldwide events to identify opportunities for strong campaigns, consult with experts, and rapidly develop a strong strategy, policy, and message.
- You will develop media relationships with editors and senior journalists who will cover and report on CitizenGO work in key territories.
- You will engage in public speaking and media work, and support others in their preparation.
- You will identify possible legal actions to boost or complement the new campaigns we launch.
- You will network with like-minded organizations, influencers, activists, volunteers, and lobbyists to achieve a deeper, more substantial impact on our campaigns and offline activities.
- You will follow up on open legal processes managed by external legal advisors.

- You have strong teamwork skills and are comfortable in a highly collaborative team culture and a hierarchical team structure.
- You possess project management capabilities, including the ability to manage multiple fast-paced work streams and freelancers.
- You possess strong user-level computer skills. Experience with Google Workspace Mail and Docs management is preferred. Proficiency in CRMs or Project Management tools is a plus.
- You have skills in graphic design. Knowledge of Canva is a plus.
- You have enthusiasm for and broad experience with software tools, along with proven experience in quickly learning new ones.
- You have at least a B2-level proficiency in English. (Duolingo English Test required for non-natives, minimum score of 100). Spanish and other languages are a plus.
