The Channel Recruiting Leader is responsible for driving advisor recruiting growth through strategic execution, people leadership, and performance accountability. This role leads the Channel Business Development team, partners closely with the Business Development Value Line, and ensures consistent execution of recruiting programs while delivering results against key business development KPIs. We are focused on targeting locations near or around our centralized company hubs here are Cetera. This includes: Dallas, TX | St. Paul & St. Cloud, MN | Des Moines, IA | El Segundo, CA

What will you do:

Channel Recruiting Strategy & Execution

  • Work with team members to identify recruiting opportunities and build pipelines.
  • Work with Channel Business Development team members to evaluate prospective advisers about risk, reward and viability.
  • Responsible for managing the engagement in, and the proper execution, of CBA processes and programs for the Channel.
  • Work with team members to identify recruiting opportunities and build pipelines.

Recruiting Strategy & Execution

People Management

  • Responsible for the day-to-day people management, skills development & improved performance & results of Channel’s Business Development team members.
  • Responsible for holding Business Development team accountable for pipeline management, execution of key activities and role mandates and delivery of recruiting goals as measured by Business Development KPIs.
  • Directs, establishes, and implements priorities, performance goals and objectives.

Channel Recruiting Strategy & Execution

  • Work with team members to identify recruiting opportunities and build pipelines.
  • Work with Channel Business Development team members to evaluate prospective advisers with regard to risk, reward and viability.

Business Development Value Line

  • Accountable for engaging and working closely with the Business Development Value Line to deliver against recruiting process and programs, lead generation programs and value line goals.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree (4‑year college degree required)
  • 10+ years of sales management experience in advisor recruiting within the broker‑dealer or wealth management industry
  • Proven experience leading and developing business development or recruiting teams with KPI and revenue accountability
  • Demonstrated success managing advisor recruiting pipelines, processes, and performance metrics (e.g., GDC, asset growth)
  • Ability to travel up to 50% and be located near a designated Cetera hub

What is nice to have:

  • Prior experience within an independent broker‑dealer environment
  • Experience partnering with centralized value line or enterprise recruiting functions
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to engage senior advisors and leadership
  • History of implementing or improving recruiting programs, processes, or operating models

Travel: Up to 50% (to accomplish training & coaching and skills development, as well as attend Cetera advisor engagements and recruiting meetings)

Compensation:

The salary range for this role is from $107,000-$190,000 base, a competitive incentive-base bonus. Compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific office location. Compensation ranges may differ in differing locations due to cost of labor considerations.
