The Senior Business Analyst (Product-Focused) plays a critical role in supporting the strategy, delivery, and continuous improvement of Celero’s NorthStar platform and related merchant-facing applications. This role operates at the intersection of business analysis and product management — ensuring high-quality requirements and execution, while also contributing to problem-solving, prioritization, and product outcomes.
This individual will work closely with the Senior Product Manager, engineering, and stakeholders to translate business needs into clear, actionable solutions, while proactively identifying gaps, proposing improvements, and helping move work forward in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Requirements & Delivery Execution
Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation.
Ensure backlog readiness by maintaining well-defined, prioritized work for engineering teams.
Validate requirements and development output for completeness, consistency, and alignment to expected outcomes.
Feature Ownership & Product Development
Take ownership of smaller features or product areas from concept through delivery.
Partner with the Senior Product Manager to define scope, evaluate trade-offs, and drive decisions within assigned areas.
Ensure owned features deliver value and align with broader product goals.
Product Support & Problem Solving
Frame problems, identify gaps, and propose solutions with clear recommendations.
Contribute to prioritization discussions by providing context, analysis, and input.
Help drive clarity in ambiguous situations by making informed recommendations and documenting assumptions.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Act as a liaison between product, engineering, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment.
Gather and synthesize feedback from stakeholders and users to inform product decisions.
Communicate requirements, updates, and trade-offs clearly across audiences.
Process & Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve product development processes and workflows, particularly with the use of AI.
Support the team in maintaining consistent standards for documentation, refinement, and delivery.
Experience & Requirements
4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, Junior/ Associate PM or related role.
Experience in the merchant acquiring or payments industry strongly preferred
Demonstrated experience producing: Requirements / user stories, Workflows / process diagrams, and Wireframes or mockups
- Hands-on experience with at least one major work tracking tool, such as Azure DevOps.
Proven ability to manage and maintain a backlog in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Experience working closely with product and engineering teams in an Agile environment.
- Experience collaborating with or supporting sales and/or operations teams, or similar go‑to‑market functions.
Demonstrated interest in product management and desire to grow into a Product Manager role.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Demonstrated ability to operate with a high degree of ownership and accountability.
Ability to navigate ambiguity, while exploring innovative solutions and driving business impact
