The IT Change Management Specialist is responsible for driving risk mitigation throughout the change management lifecycle. This role focuses on analyzing proposed and implemented changes to IT infrastructure, evaluating system dependencies, and forecasting/determining stakeholder impact. Drives continual improvements within change management operations and ensures each change is executed with minimal risk to business operations.
Key Responsibilities
•Conduct risk assessments for each change request by evaluating technical complexity, system dependencies, and potential impacts on business processes and stakeholders.
•Develop, document, and validate robust implementation and rollback plans to prepare for potential failure scenarios.
•Lead Change Advisory Board (CAB) sessions, providing expert insight on risk factors and mitigation strategies for proposed changes.
•Communicate change details, risk considerations, and contingency plans to all impacted parties and decision-makers.
•Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to analyze cross-system dependencies and ensure comprehensive risk coverage.
•Oversee testing and validation processes to confirm that changes meet requirements and do not introduce new vulnerabilities.
•Maintain thorough standard operating procedure documentation of change risk assessments, decisions, and outcomes for audit and continuous improvement purposes.
•Utilize data analytics to identify trends, measure performance, and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 4-6 years of experience in a similar role
- Full English Fluency
- BS in Computer Science or similar
- Experience in regulated industries (e.g., insurance, finance, healthcare) is Desirable.
- Risk Mitigation, documentation experience
