General Summary
This position is responsible for supporting the Americas-wide Operations function covering inventory management, demand forecasting, and network planning to support America’s business growth and, maximize customer experience. The function acts as voice of Operations in the region.
Essential Job Functions
Backlog Management
- Communicate product lead times based on regional supply-demand analyses and/or allocation provided by Global Planning
- Communicate regional product availability to regional Order Management and Commercial team
- Participate and create analyses for meetings with Commercial organization
- Monitor customer backlog and forecast consumption at the NA subsidiary, alerting Global Production Planning and Supply Chain Planning teams when over or under consumption occurs
Demand Forecasting
- Support Americas-wide and Global Distributors demand forecasting process
- Provide input and validation of forecast with subsidiaries on products, parts, and consumables
- Participate in regular calls with global teams on supply review and to determine if improvement can be made to support demand supply disparities
- Create and measure KPIs to drive accuracy and effectiveness
Inventory Management
- Provide input to the organization on inventory, supply, and strategies of existing items, new products, and product phase-outs. Own the development and implementation of these strategies, including Global lead for Product Parts Catalog (PPC) enablement and webstore.
- Review, recommend and own inventory replenishment needs in alignment with Global Planning and Inventory Team
Knowledge/Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related disciplines
- 3-5 years supply chain experience with 1-2 years in analytical position
- AI knowledge and implementation experience
- Result oriented with strong problem solving, organization and planning skills
- Excellent communications skills in English, both verbal and written
- Strong team player working collaboratively across functions
- Good work knowledge of data analysis, and performance metrics using business management software like Salesforce, CRM, Power BI
