What You'll Do
Our Technical Architects have a deep level of technical knowledge within their area of expertise and are considered Subject Matter Experts within their Practice area. Our Technical Architects work alongside our Pursuit Teams (Solution Architects and Account Executives) to achieve and exceed Practice revenue and GP growth targets. Technical Architects drive Practice strategy and establish the Practice Point-of-View value proposition.
To be successful in the Technical Architect role, you must have strong interpersonal, business, and technology skills that enable you to engage at all levels of an organization. Our Technical Architects are experienced in a consultative approach with a holistic understanding of business and IT operations within an organization.
In addition to the above, your responsibilities will include:
Being an expert on Burwood Enterprise Networking Solutions, working directly with Sales and Marketing to craft go-to-market solutions and scoping of new opportunities
Leading the architecture and strategy process for the client, including necessary tools, processes, and services that map to their strategic IT business initiatives, defining requirements, and creating scoping documents
Aligning with both Burwood and Partner sales teams to identify and drive Enterprise Networking solutions with a consultative and strategic approach
Building strong, continuous relationships at all levels of our clients, becoming their go-to advisor for all Enterprise Networking technologies
Providing strong technical oversight and subject matter expertise on Enterprise Networking portfolio solutions from the initial engagement, through to hand-off to project completion
Acting as a mentor, coach, and escalation point for Enterprise Networking practice resources
Providing an architectural and consultative approach with our clients from a high-level, holistic view and roadmap through to assessment and implementation of solutions.
Working with the Practice Leadership to further develop the workgroup resources and ensure team development and familiarity with Secure Networking solutions
Driving process improvement, delivery efficiency, and practice profitability

The Tech Stuff
Expert-level proficiency in enterprise networking & security, across many platforms, including:
Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW) & SASE: Deep expertise in Palo Alto Networks and Fortinet firewall deployment, configuration, and policy design, as well as Prisma Access & FortiSASE. Experience with Cisco ASA & Firepower is also desirable
Routing & Switching: Advanced experience with Cisco Catalyst and Nexus platforms & HPE/Aruba Campus & Datacenter products
Software-Defined Solutions: Hands-on experience with Cisco and Palo Alto SD-WAN solutions, additionally, Fortinet and VMware SD-WAN experience is a plus
Network Access Control: Deployment and integration of Cisco ISE and Aruba ClearPass for identity-based access control and policy enforcement
Fabric Management: Cisco Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller (NDFC) experience is preferred
Strong understanding of Data Center Layer 3/Layer 2 technologies and interconnects (MPLS, VPLS, VXLAN, and BGP EVPN)
Experience deploying enterprise-level SDN architectures such as Cisco ACI or Arista CloudVision
Solid understanding of Data Center and Public Cloud interconnectivity across hybrid environments, Megaport, Azure ExpressRoute, AWS Direct Connect
Proven hands-on experience with campus network products from Cisco, Aruba, or Arista
Certifications: CCIE or Palo Alto Networks PCNSE preferred
