View company profile

Bowlero Corp. stands as the global leader in bowling entertainment, operating the largest network of bowling centers in the world. The company's journey began in 1997 when its founder, Thomas Shannon, acquired the original Bowlmor Lanes in New York City and transformed it into a revolutionary upscale bowling and nightlife destination. This innovative concept, featuring premium amenities, sophisticated lounge areas, and high-quality food and beverage offerings, set a new standard for the industry and catalyzed the company's expansion. A pivotal moment in its growth occurred in 2013 with the acquisition of AMF Bowling Centers, a move that rescued the brand from bankruptcy and instantly expanded the company's portfolio to over 270 locations across the United States and Mexico, making it the largest bowling operator globally. The following year, Bowlero Corp. further solidified its market dominance by acquiring Brunswick Corporation's bowling center business.

Operating a diverse family of brands, including Bowlero, Bowlmor Lanes, AMF, and the recently acquired Lucky Strike, the company caters to a wide spectrum of customers. Its venues range from traditional, family-friendly bowling alleys to high-end, boutique entertainment centers. Beyond bowling, these locations offer a comprehensive entertainment experience with state-of-the-art arcades, billiards, and full-service bars and restaurants. In a significant strategic move in 2019, Bowlero Corp. acquired the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA), the major league of professional bowling, thereby integrating a significant media and sports asset into its portfolio. This acquisition has allowed the company to engage with millions of bowling fans and further promote the sport. In December 2021, Bowlero Corp. became a publicly traded company on the New York Stock Exchange. The company is currently undergoing a strategic rebranding to Lucky Strike Entertainment to better reflect its expanding portfolio of entertainment offerings, which now includes water parks and family entertainment centers, signaling its evolution into a diversified entertainment platform.
