We seek a talented, highly motivated intern to be a part of our India team.
The candidate should be motivated to help the world’s premier companies understand India, and support our team in considering the ideas and capabilities of top-tier companies that want to invest in India.
Position Responsibilities
- Provide research support for BGA India relating to politics, economics, policy, regulatory, international trade, strategic communications, and business intelligence.
- Prepare and edit articles, briefings, profiles, presentations, memos, research papers, event handbooks, and other materials.
- Aid in the development of country-specific news updates.
- Monitor relevant news items for sector-specific developments.
- Assist with data input and other administrative tasks.
- Other duties as required.
Job Requirements
We seek a collegial, highly motivated self-starter who intrinsically understands and values the importance of people and relationships to business success and growth. The ideal candidate should be proactive and understand how to effectively investigate, analyze, and convey critical insights and information on India's business policy environment and political economy in clear and succinct language.
Qualifications include:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Work Experience: Up to one year of relevant experience in government, multinational corporation, journalism, and/or consulting is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in or passion for research and writing is strongly preferred.
- Strong editing and verbal communication skills in fluent English are required. Knowledge of one or more Indian languages is a plus.
- Tracking of policy, regulatory, and business developments in key economic sectors, including infrastructure, manufacturing, technology, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, energy, and/or finance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and an ability to learn and adapt to new technology.
