We are a collaborative team deeply committed to putting students first, driving sustainable results, and continuously improving how we serve schools and communities.

About the Internship

Blueprint Schools Network is seeking a Communications Intern to help strengthen how we tell our story and amplify our impact. This internship is ideal for a junior or senior undergraduate student—or a graduate student—studying communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field.

You’ll work closely with our team, including our grant writer, to elevate our digital presence, align messaging across platforms, and share compelling stories of student success, AmeriCorps service, and school partnerships.

This is an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a national education nonprofit while building a strong portfolio of mission-driven communications work.

  • In partnership with Blueprint’s Data and Operations Coordinator, assist in translating program data and outcomes into compelling, accessible content for external audiences
  • Contribute creative ideas to increase engagement and visibility across Blueprint’s digital channels
  • Support storytelling efforts that align communications with development and partnership goals
  • Maintain and update Blueprint’s content library, including organizing and archiving photos, videos, and media assets
  • Assist with content calendars, scheduling, and coordination across platforms
  • Support a consistent social media cadence (approximately 2–4 posts per week across platforms), ensuring content is timely and aligned with organizational priorities
  • Track and analyze basic performance metrics (e.g., engagement, reach) to inform future content and improve effectiveness
  • Share regular updates with the Blueprint team on content produced, key insights, and upcoming communications opportunities
  • Support the development of simple guides or materials to help team members share content across their networks

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for Blueprint’s mission and interest in education or nonprofit work
