Staff UI Software Engineer

Basis is seeking a Staff UI Software Engineer to define the architecture and front-end standards for the future of the Basis application, collaborating with Engineering and Product members of other teams. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of modern UI architecture, React.js, and design systems, with a minimum of 8 years of professional software experience.

• Min of 8 years of professional software experience
• A solid understanding of the JavaScript language and React.js library, as well as the patterns common in UI development
• Familiarity and expertise with design systems, reusable components, and modern front-end tooling
• Fluency with AI coding tools and strong judgment for evaluating, refining, and taking full ownership of AI-generated output
• An ability to diagnose and fix performance bottlenecks in your code
