Engineer - Planning - Mine Engineering Services Underground at New Porgera Limited in Papua New Guinea. Responsible for development, optimization and maintenance of short to medium term underground mine plans, supporting safe, efficient and cost-effective mining operations.

Requirements

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Mine Engineering, or related
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in Underground Mining environment
  • Experience with underground mining methods (Longhole open stoping)
  • Working knowledge of relevant mining legislation and safety standards
  • Membership of AusIMM and Engineers PNG (IEPNG)
  • Proficiency in mining technology and heavy equipment, advanced skills in mine planning software (preferably Deswik), strong computer skills
  • High level understanding of all relevant legislation affecting the employment and safety of persons in the mining industry in PNG
