About the role:

We are building a new AI Platform team to power the next generation of intelligent features in our cloud-based retail system for hearing care. This team owns the core AI services behind Auditdata product portfolio.

AI platform includes:

  • ML which is used for speech to text service and transcription

  • LLM-based data transformation

  • Agentic AI workflows

  • Retrieval Augmented Generation layer

  • Internal agent / orchestration framework for tool-calling and multi-step workflows

As an AI Platform Lead, you will be the hands-on technical owner of a new AI platform - its reliability, performance, and cost of AI services in production (SLIs/SLOs, incident response, optimizations). You’ll design and build production services, lead a team of engineers, and collaborate with different stakeholders internally and externally to evolve overall technical direction.

This role is for someone who wants to both code and lead.

What you will do:

  • Design, implement, and operate cloud-native AI services on Azure, integrating with our .NET microservices and Kubernetes-based platform.

  • Design and own Azure AI infrastructure.

  • Own and evolve speech-to-text transcription pipeline.

  • Build and maintain LLM-driven data transformation capabilities, including:

    - Prompt and template management

    - Retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) over domain-specific data
    - Guardrails, auditing, and safety controls for clinical/regulated contexts.

  • Design and own an agent framework as a reusable platform that all Auditdata products can use:
    - Orchestrate tools and backend services through LLMs
    - Implement robust, traceable multi-step workflows
    - Enforce permissions, logging, and audit trails.

  • Leadership:
    - Lead in best practice, support architectural decisions and ensure smooth, high-quality feature delivery

    - Lead and mentor a group of engineers

    - Review designs and pull requests

    - Drive improvements in code quality, resilience, and observability.

  • Collaborate closely with architects:
    - Co-create and refine AI-related architecture within broader enterprise guidelines, not just implement predefined designs
    - Act as the primary hands-on expert for AI services, bringing real production constraints into architectural decisions (tradeoffs, complexity, constraints)
    - Drive proposals to extend or adjust reference architectures where AI use-cases demand it.

  • Partner with product and other engineering teams:
    - Define clear APIs and SDKs so other teams can build on the AI platform
    - Prioritise platform work based on product needs and technical risk
    - Communicate tradeoffs of model choice, quality, latency, and cost.

What success looks like:

  • The AI Platform is established as a trusted internal platform used by multiple product teams for AI features

  • Transcription, LLM document generation, and the agent framework are reliable, observable, and cost-efficient in production

  • The AI platform has a clear roadmap, aligned with product and architecture, with transparent tradeoffs and priorities

  • You are recognized as the go-to technical leader for AI services, working peer-to-peer with architects, product, and other engineering leadsWhat success looks like:

Key competences and expertise:

  • 7+ years of experience building and operating backend or platform services in production

  • Strong experience with .NET and/or Python, and cloud-native services (microservices, APIs, messaging)

  • Knowledge of MCP, MAF, Microsoft Foundry

  • Hands-on experience building AI-powered features or services (e.g. RAG, prompt management, tool-calling, agent-like workflows)

  • Experience integrating with speech-to-text providers (Azure, Whisper, or similar), or a strong willingness to learn quickly

  • Previous experience as a tech lead / team lead or similar role, owning systems end-to-end

  • Solid engineering practices: testing, CI/CD, observability, performance, and reliability

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience in healthcare / regulated domains

  • Experience with multi-tenant SaaS and global deployments

  • Azure experience (AKS, App Services, API Management, Key Vault, etc.)

  • Experience designing internal platforms / SDKs that other teams consume

What’s in it for you:

  • Long-term engagement in a stable, growing SaaS company.

  • High engineering and product standards.

  • Flexible environment with a flat organizational structure.

  • Professional development opportunities, including certification support.

  • A global, diverse, and highly skilled team across Denmark, Ukraine, UK, Poland, Canada, Australia, USA, and more.

  • A culture that values personal growth as much as business outcomes.

Feels like it’s a perfect match to you?

We look forward to your application! (please submit your English CV)
