POSITION SUMMARY
The Health System IT Integration Manager designs, implements, and works with Atlas’s partners to deliver integrated and interoperable health solutions. Provides healthcare integration leadership and education to all stakeholders resulting in an efficient and effective deployment of Atlas systems in new ASCs and in new JV Partnerships. Develops and maintains an integration playbook that becomes the integration standard that is uniform across all Atlas systems and repeatable for the onboarding of both new ASCs and JV Partners. This role combines health business processes with integrated health technical expertise skills, requiring proficiency in areas such as interface engines and health interoperability standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Data & Clinical System Integration Design & Implementation: Planning, designing, coordination and implementation of health data integration (e.g. HL7) and clinical system deployment with new ASCs and Joint Venture Partners.
- Data & System Integration Playbook: Planning and coordination with Atlas departments, third party partners and providers as well as Health Systems and ASC stakeholders to develop a comprehensive, repeatable how-to manual for stakeholder use in deploying new ASC and Health System integrations.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work with other IT teams, developers, and business users to ensure health integrations are clearly defined and transparent across all stakeholders.
- Project Management & Education: Leads the orientation, education and coordination of all stakeholders in the deployment of the health data exchange ensuring effective deployment, system operation, and adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Integration Awareness and Training: Providing guidance and training to other IT staff integration standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Security Management: Managing and ensuring security policies, procedures, and tools are implemented as part of the integrated solution – protecting Atlas against threats and vulnerabilities.
- Staying Current: Staying informed about emerging healthcare integration standards and government regulations – including security threats, technologies, and best practices.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of experience in implementing and designing integrated health systems/architectures.
- 5+ years of experience in interface engine development and deployment, infrastructure, and operations.
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare data management, transformation, and analytics.
- Extensive experience (or certified) in health standards – HL7 v2, v3, FHIR, ANSI X12, ITI, DICOM, etc.
- Extensive experience and knowledge of Healthcare Coding Systems – ICD-9/10, SNOMED, LOINC, RxNorm, etc.
- Knowledge of network protocols, firewall technologies, VPNs, and routing protocols.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, networking, engineering, or a related field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Additional education and experience preferred.
- Certifications (or company-based training) in one or more healthcare integration engines/platforms.
- Experience with healthcare messages and data analysis tools.
- Experience with person/patient identity management tools, design, and solutions.
- Experience with SQL (or similar) data storage technologies that support integration analysis and design.
- Knowledge and understanding of current and upcoming government integration regulation and requirements.
- Experience with firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint protection.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of security frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS.
