Senior IT Project Manager / Agile Coach Position Summary ASRC Federal is seeking an IT Project Manager / Agile Coach responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of information technology projects while fostering Agile principles and practices across teams. This role ensures successful project delivery within scope, schedule, and budget, while coaching teams and stakeholders to improve Agile maturity, collaboration, and performance. Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage IT projects across the full lifecycle (initiation through closeout)
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, risk registers, and status reports
  • Ensure alignment with organizational priorities, contract requirements, and compliance standards
  • Manage scope, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations
  • Provide regular status updates and briefings to leadership and stakeholders
  • Agile Coaching and Facilitation

◦ Coach teams on Agile methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, and hybrid approaches ◦ Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives ◦ Support Product Owners in backlog development, refinement, and prioritization ◦ Identify and help remove impediments to team progress ◦ Promote continuous improvement and Agile best practices

  • Team and Stakeholder Engagement

◦ Serve as liaison between technical teams, leadership, and external stakeholders ◦ Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment ◦ Support Agile adoption and organizational change efforts ◦ Mentor team members on Agile principles and project execution Performance and Reporting

  • Track and report project and team performance metrics (e.g., velocity, burn-down charts, delivery timelines)
  • Maintain transparency through dashboards and reporting tools
  • Conduct post-project reviews and document lessons learned

Required Qualifications

  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field). Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • 5–10 years of IT project management experience
  • Demonstrated experience working in Agile environments
  • Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project management methodologies

Preferred Certifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM)
  • SAFe Agilist (as applicable)

Key Skills

  • Agile coaching and facilitation
  • Risk management and problem-solving
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps)
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, matrixed environments

Work Environment (Optional)

  • Experience supporting federal or DoD IT programs preferred
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity, compliance frameworks, or IT service management practices
