Role Description

This is a remote freelance role for an English Korean Simultaneous Interpreter at AsiaLocalize. The Interpreter will be responsible for delivering accurate and fluent real-time interpretation during online interview sessions. They will ensure seamless communication between English- and Korean-speaking participants while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism throughout each meeting.

Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate and natural simultaneous interpretation during 2-hour interviews held over Zoom or MS Teams.

• Ensure clarity and cultural appropriateness in all interpreted content.

• Demonstrate familiarity with terminology related to the gaming sector and ecosystem.

• Uphold confidentiality, professionalism, and accuracy during all interpretation sessions.

• Work efficiently in a virtual setting, ensuring technical readiness and reliability.

Qualifications:

• Fluency in English and Korean (spoken and written).

• Proven experience in simultaneous interpretation, preferably in the gaming or technology industry.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and deliver high-quality interpretation in real-time.

• Familiarity with online meeting tools such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams.

MUST-HAVE Qualifications:

• Previous experience in live simultaneous interpretation.

• Experience interpreting for interviews, business meetings, or technology-related discussions.
