IT Intern

American Institute for Economic Research educates Americans on the value of personal freedom, free enterprise, property rights, limited government, and sound money. AIER’s ongoing scientific research demonstrates the importance of these principles in advancing peace, prosperity and human progress. The IT Intern will support the Information Technology team by assisting with documentation, infrastructure tracking, software and asset management, and internal IT projects.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree or certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace applications
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with IT inventory systems or ticketing platforms
• Basic knowledge of network infrastructure and diagrams
• Interest in cybersecurity, systems administration, or IT operations
• Experience with Microsoft Windows environments and common business software
