Systems SERDES Engineer (Staff, Senior Staff, Principal)

It is an essential part of the core infrastructure enabling next generation services in data centers, artificial intelligence, 5G wireless infrastructure, data networking, autonomous vehicles, and solid-state storage.

What You’ll Do

• Run behavioral channel simulation and analysis of high-speed wireline analog/DSP SERDES for 100G+ PAM4 standards
• Model complex analog blocks, such as Transmitter, FFE, CTLE, DFE, and CDRs
• Contribute to Architecture definition for SERDES links for several standards
• Develop and deploy tools for analog / validation teams to speed up design and debug
• Work with state-of-the-art optimization and machine learning algorithms for chip optimization
• Contribute to and help develop adaptation algorithms for a variety of equalization techniques
• Perform sensitivity analysis and regression simulations for various link conditions
• Work with internal silicon engineering team to help perform system performance correlation between behavior models and silicon

What You’ll Need

• Masters/PhD in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Engineering Science
• 5+ years of experience is preferred
• Previous experience with modelling critical SERDES blocks such as Transmitter, FFE, CTLE, DFE, and CDRs
• Strong programming skills in MATLAB, C/C++, scripting skills in Python, Tcl, Perl
• Experience working with PCIe and/or Ethernet SerDes specifications

It’d Be Amazing If You Had

• IBIS-AMI modelling experience
• Familiarity with PCI-SIG, IEEE 802.3 and OIF standards

Salary and Benefits

Your contribution will be recognized with a base salary within the range of $115k to $155k for Staff, $135k to $185k for Sr Staff and $165k to $225k for Principal level annually as It is influenced by your qualifications, experience, location, and the internal equity of our team to ensure fairness and consistency across roles. In addition to our comprehensive benefits package, employees are also eligible for additional compensation opportunities, including Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), short-term incentive program, Retirement & Saving Programs and participation in the Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)
