Job Description

A role in the National Supply Chain Replenishment Optimisation Team is a great opportunity to play a key part in shaping the future department and its ways of working. You will gain valuable experience working on a global transformation project and become a real expert at the end of it. You will form relationships with GB/IE colleagues across all domains and also across the Aldi global network of countries. You will be instrumental in the use of the new Replenishment systems, working closely with other teams with NSCM, National Buying, NIT and Store Operations. As the department and the AHEAD program evolves, so will the role. As such you will require a proactive approach and a high level of multi-tasking and resilience.

The role would require someone confident working with Big Data and investigating trends and making recommendations. Who has experience in using the forecasting modules within SAP in order to maximise the system. A confident individual with great communication skills would also be ideally suited to this opportunity. Occasional weekend work will be required for this role. This role is an 18-month FTC.

Your New Role

  • Responsibility for the data validation and creation of Store and/or DC orders
  • Responsible for ordering for store closures and re-openings, including new store openings
  • Monitoring the close and opening performance of store closures and re-openings, including new store openings to ensure optimal availability for our customers
  • Coordination across multiple internal departments to ensure stores open on time with all stock required
  • Responsible for the validation of Key Event seasonal Store and/or DC orders (Christmas and Easter) and ensuring the best distribution of stock across our stores to maximise sell-through
  • Monitoring and reviewing availability, DC pick fulfilment and loss reduction at Store and DC level to propose solutions for ongoing improvement
  • Data investigation, data maintenance, data representation through advanced excel techniques
  • Continuous improvement within role, simplifying processes and operations to maximise efficiencies
  • Ability to identify gaps in new processes and define new ones as required as well as executing these through to completion
  • Daily usage of SAP Application, Master Data, Tableau and other Analytic Applications
  • Plan and execute business wide replenishment strategies and proactively adjust based on changing market conditions at Store, Regional and National level
  • Internal and external stakeholder engagement and management of all levels of the business.
  • Daily communication with internal departments e.g. Forecasting, Buying, IT

About You

  • Previous experience in SAP forecasting and replenishment solutions
  • Problem solving skills for identifying supply chain solutions and creating automated solutions
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Project management skills
  • Experience of working within a project
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to proactively work towards challenging deadlines through multitasking and resilience
  • Confidence and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues of all levels.
  • Organisational skills with the ability to identify and manage priorities.

  • Salary starting £37,545 - £43,840
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm, with the opportunity of 2 days a week remote working (Moving to 1 day remote working from January 2027)
