This role is part of Alcon's Sales & Sales Support function, a team that helps provide access to products across all channels in an effort to drive customer satisfaction with eye care professionals to help people see brilliantly.
The Sr. Associate, Vision Care Specialty Sales (Professional Path) is primarily responsible for driving scientific engagement with Medical Experts and implementing clinical and educational strategies. You will achieve sales targets, develop customer strategies, and support clinical research programs while playing a crucial role in business development and client activities. Specifics include:
• Drive scientific engagement with Medical Experts and implement clinical and educational strategies
• Respond to unsolicited medical inquiries and educate Medical Experts on medical/scientific information
• Develop and execute Medical Expert engagement plans aligned with country strategy
• Support Alcon clinical research programs and optimize trial execution, including facilitating the Investigator Initiated Trial process upon investigator request
• Establish and implement a sales/business plan for a designated client base, developing customer development strategy and Key Account Management action plans for assigned accounts
• Establish and develop long-term relationships with key customers, acquiring a thorough understanding of their needs and requirements, and expanding relationships by continuously proposing solutions that meet their needs and objectives
• Lead the preparation of strategies and individual tactical plans, providing strategic input on analysis, future potential, and key programs required for the accounts
• Prepare and negotiate contracts, guiding initiatives targeting specific accounts
• Analyze market situations, including competitive intelligence activities on key accounts and competitors
• Contribute to the mapping of stakeholders, including segmentation and profiling, and provide accurate and timely data for the Alcon Customer Relationship Management system
• Perform consulting functions in clinical and commercial contexts, identifying technical and commercial development needs, and developing protocols of action and implementation, adapting the approach to each situation
• Train and advise Eye Care Professionals on technical (contactology and ocular health) and commercial levels based on the company's strategy, providing high-level clinical and scientific information and answering questions about the company's products
• Provide regular feedback to the multidisciplinary team on the efficiency of implemented processes to improve the customer experience
• Record and save all information on specific platforms or tools
• Be Alcon's ambassador to customers, defending and implementing the company's values
