Job Description Summary

Position Overview:

This position will join a team responsible for the overall management of the $12 billion private placement portfolio. Position will be actively involved in sourcing, evaluating and negotiating syndicated new issue primary and secondary investments under the direction of the Team Leader. Responsibilities will also include monitoring an existing portfolio of private placement credits, updating credit reviews and handling waivers, amendments and other issues as they develop.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for evaluating and structuring private placements. This includes drafting a credit write up and presenting and defending the investment opportunity through the approval process.

  • Provide ongoing monitoring of an assigned portfolio of private placement credits. This includes reviewing covenant compliance, financials, and specific credit and sector research.

  • Assist Team Leader in completing projects requested by Senior Management, Portfolio Managers and Clients.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ private placement and/or capital market experience.

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Developed analytical, structuring and negotiating skills. Good communication skills. Possesses creative and independent problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10 years’ credit experience.

  • CFA and MBA

The salary for this position generally ranges between $145,000 - $210,000 annually. This range is an estimate, based on potential qualifications and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.

Additionally, the position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company’s discretion.
