Job Title: Cloud Data & Analytics Architect (SAP BW/Datasphere Focus)

OTE: $125,500 - $222,500
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Data Solutions Architect with a strong background in consulting, sales, and commercial strategy. This role is ideal for a cloud solutions sales professional specializing in data analytics offerings who can serve as an overlay sales resource for our core sales team. The ideal candidate will have experience building proposals, responding to RFPs, and drafting SOWs, along with a proven track record of closing complex cloud data deals with enterprise clients. In addition to hands-on technical expertise with AWS, Azure, or GCP, proficiency in SAP BW, SAP Datasphere migration strategies, and experience migrating from legacy data platforms to modern cloud platforms is highly desirable. They will need to have been involved in or leading proposals and RFP’s for BW migration & modernizations (to Datasphere)
Key Expertise
Consulting & Commercial Strategy: Ability to provide consulting solutions and commercial proposals to support cloud-based data analytics sales strategy.
Sales Execution: Demonstrated ability to develop and close cloud data platform deals, especially in enterprise environments.
Proposals, RFPs, and SOWs: Skilled in crafting comprehensive proposals, responding to RFPs, and authoring detailed SOWs.
Cloud Platforms (Mandatory): Deep expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP for designing scalable data architectures.
SAP Expertise (Huge Plus): Experience with SAP BW to SAP Datasphere migrations and SAP Data Analytics solutions.
Enterprise Security & Data Governance: Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks, enterprise-grade security, and regulatory compliance.
Data Platforms: Experience with modern cloud data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, Synapse, or Redshift.
Responsibilities
Cloud Data Solutions Sales: Lead engagements to position cloud-based data solutions, collaborating with BDMs and sales teams.
Proposals & SOWs: Take ownership of crafting proposals, responding to RFPs, and writing SOWs tailored to client needs.
Cloud Architecture: Design and implement cost-effective and scalable cloud data architectures on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Data Engineering: Build ETL/ELT pipelines, implement CDC and delta loads, and design efficient data workflows.
SAP Tools & Migration: Lead SAP BW to SAP Datasphere migrations and integrate SAP data analytics into cloud ecosystems.
Legacy to Cloud Migration: Architect migration strategies from legacy platforms to cloud, ensuring business continuity.
Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and clients to deliver custom, high-impact data solutions.
Governance & Security: Implement data governance and security solutions using tools like Collibra, Informatica, and SAP Datasphere.
Technical Expertise Required:
Cloud Platforms: Proficient in AWS, Azure, or GCP, and services like Redshift, BigQuery, Synapse/Microsoft Fabric.
SAP Data Solutions: Knowledge of SAP BW, BOBJ, Datasphere, and related SAP tools and migration strategies.
Legacy to Cloud Migration: Experience migrating data from legacy systems to cloud-based platforms.
Modern Data Platforms: Hands-on experience with Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, Synapse, etc.
ETL/ELT & Data Pipelines: Advanced experience with data pipelines, CDC, and orchestration frameworks.
Open Source Table Formats: Familiarity with Apache Iceberg, Delta Lake, or similar data lake formats.
Data Modeling: Understanding of Data Vault, Data Mesh, and advanced modeling strategies.
Programming & Scripting: Proficient in Python, SQL, and related data engineering languages.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Experience
15+ years in roles such as Data Solutions Consultant, Pre-Sales Engineer, or Cloud Data Architect.
Experience working with cloud-native tools (e.g., AWS Glue, Kafka, Azure Data Factory, GCP Dataflow).
SAP ERP data extraction and analytics experience is a plus.
Familiarity with tools like Apache Spark, Hadoop, and CI/CD DevOps practices.
Track record in developing end-to-end proposals, including estimations, solution architecture, and resource planning.
Experience working in overlay sales or consultative roles with direct revenue responsibility.
