About the Role
Thermo Fisher Scientific is hiring an Associate Financial Systems Analyst to join our Global Financial Systems team. Responsibilities include supporting Oracle Cloud ERP and other financial applications, collaborating with finance, IT, and global business.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer daily systems assistance and aid end-users in resolving problems concerning Oracle Cloud ERP and additional financial software.
- Assist in managing and upkeeping financial systems to guarantee operational stability and data accuracy.
- Collaborate with business and IT teams to document requirements, assist in system configurations, and support testing activities.
- Participate in the implementation, improvement, and integration of Oracle ERP modules, primarily focusing on Procure-to-Pay (P2P) modules such as Accounts Payables, Payments, Cash Management, Procurement, while maintaining exposure to General Ledger, Intercompany, Accounts Receivable (AR), and Tax Management (ETax) and related applications.
- Develop and maintain SQL queries and reports to meet business reporting needs.
- Support system upgrades, data migrations, and audit/compliance activities.
- Assist in the development of process documentation, training materials, and user guides.
- Collaborate with senior analysts to find opportunities for process optimization and automation within financial systems.
Education and Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
- Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred but not required.
Experience Requirement
- 3–5 years of experience assisting with or deploying Oracle Cloud ERP or on-premise financial systems.
- Practical involvement in P2P modules (Invoices Payable, Transactions, Cash Control, and Purchasing) with familiarity with additional financial modules like General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, and Intercompany.
- Familiarity with financial processes, system integrations, and data flow across modules.
- Basic proficiency in SQL and understanding of relational database concepts.
- Exposure to Oracle Financials, Vertex, or reporting tools (e.g., OTBI, BI Publisher) is an advantage.
- Experience working in a global enterprise environment is desirable.
