Vincent Gagné
@vincentgagne
Bilingual (English/French) Cinema Studies & Creative Writing student and video editor with a genuine passion for education and entertainment content.
What I'm looking for
I'm a second-year Bachelor of Arts student at UBC Vancouver, majoring in Cinema Studies with a Creative Writing minor. I'm passionate about video editing and visual storytelling, with hands-on experience in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut, After Effects, Photoshop, and more. I love taking raw footage, information, or a story and shaping it into something that actually holds people's attention.
My clearest real-world experience comes from two seasons as a bilingual (English/French) historical interpreter at Fort Gibraltar, a fur trade-era historical site, where I researched and delivered live educational presentations on voyageur history and canoe construction, turning dense material into something engaging, in two languages, on the fly. That's given me a strong sense of pacing, structure, and what actually keeps an audience watching, which carries directly into how I approach editing.
I'm a hands-on learner who picks up new tools fast, and I'm looking for remote roles in video editing, content creation, or educational/entertainment media, anywhere I can combine technical editing skill with storytelling instincts.
