Terryjoy Kamande

In a public health research project in Kilifi County, I collected data, categorised open-ended responses, and entered, cleaned, and analysed quantitative data using IBM SPSS. I also interpreted findings and presented results as part of a public health rotation.

With Young Researchers Academy – Kenya Medical Association, I contributed to proposal development, data collection, and analysis for a study on barriers to HIV testing among adolescents in Kenya. I worked across four regions and followed research ethics and confidentiality guidelines.

During clinical rotations at KUTRRH, Kiambu County Referral Hospital, and PCEA Chogoria Mission Hospital, I maintained patient documentation and translated clinical information between Swahili and English. I followed confidentiality and informed-consent protocols.

As Secretary of Leo Club of Nairobi Gigiri – BBYI (SRH Department), I produced communications and awareness materials in English and Swahili, translating technical health information for public audiences. I’m fluent in both languages and eager to learn annotation tools and guidelines.
