I’m a Consultant General Surgeon (since 2022) at KUTTRH, where I deliver high-acuity general surgery while teaching residents in general surgery under the COSECSA program.
From 2015 to 2022, I worked as a General Surgeon in Baringo County Referral Hospital, managing the Surgical Unit and conducting elective and emergency surgical procedures, including trauma orthopedic and trauma neurosurgery. I also taught medical and clinical officers’ interns and supported their clinical development.
Earlier, I served as a Registrar General Surgery at Kenya National Hospital from 2010 to 2015, triaging admitting surgical patients, preparing emergency and elective patients for surgery, and operating on supervised emergency and elective lists.
I’ve also held senior hospital leadership roles, including Senior Medical Officer and Medical Superintendent of Malava District Hospital (2007–2010) and Acting Medical Superintendent (May–July 2016). In these roles, I led daily ward rounds, ran weekly clinics, managed hospital operations, and coordinated county and national government functions, complemented by locum work and community health screenings.
