Riya Mukherjee

I'm currently an Assistant Manager at EY GDS, managing financial reporting and regulatory disclosures for multi-entity hedge fund structures under US GAAP and IFRS.

I research complex accounting matters and prepare position papers on ASC 820 fair value hierarchy, equity structures, consolidations, and revenue recognition. I also work directly with US-based engagement leaders to resolve technical reporting matters and streamline cross-border workflows.

Across EY GDS roles, I've reviewed hedge fund, private equity, and fund-of-funds financial statements, disclosures, NAV reconciliations, capital activity, portfolio valuations, and LP waterfall calculations. I've automated reconciliation and data-validation work with Alteryx and DataSnipper to reduce manual errors and reporting cycle times.

I've been recognized with two Highest Performing Team Awards and an EY GDS SPOT Award for deliverable quality and rapid-turnaround execution. My earlier accounting work included bookkeeping, statutory compliance, tax filings, and ledger reconciliations using Tally ERP.
