At ApexPlanet Software Pvt. Ltd., I built an isolated penetration testing lab with VirtualBox, Kali Linux, Metasploitable2, and DVWA for use across the internship’s testing modules.
I used Nmap and OpenVAS for reconnaissance and vulnerability scanning, then manually exploited five OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities on a web application, including SQL injection, XSS, and CSRF.
I also cracked recovered password hashes with John the Ripper and gained remote shell access with Metasploit Framework on a vulnerable Linux target, where I performed post-exploitation enumeration and privilege escalation analysis.
For my capstone project, I authored a client-ready Web Application Penetration Test Report with documented findings, severity ratings, evidence, and remediation guidance. I’m studying Computer Science and Engineering with a Cybersecurity specialization at Chandigarh Group of Colleges.
