Mariama Sabally

I’m completing my medical training through clinical rotations at University Hospital Ibn Sina in Rabat, Mohammed V Military Hospital, Hôpital Mère-Enfant, Hôpital Psychiatrique Ar-Razi, Hôpital des Spécialités, and Centre de Santé Al Massira.

My rotations have covered visceral surgery, urology, nephrology, pneumology, dermatology, neurosurgery, cardiology, radiology, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatric psychiatry, ENT, and ophthalmology. I’ve developed practical clinical skills including IV insertion, sample collection, urinary catheter placement, ECG placement and interpretation, suturing, wound dressing, obstetric ultrasound, and emergency assessment and management.

I’ve also completed internships at Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital in The Gambia and Hôpital Principal de Dakar in Senegal, with experience in emergency care, internal medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, visceral surgery, and orthopedics.

I’m passionate about public health, telemedicine, digital health, pharmaceuticals, medical technology, and representation in international spaces as a Black Muslim woman. Alongside medicine, I contribute through student association leadership, clinical volunteering, and breast cancer awareness work in The Gambia.
