Lucas De Angelis

I’m a video editor based in São Paulo, Brazil, with experience in production companies, marketing agencies, a game studio, and freelance projects.

My interest in filmmaking began after watching Mad Max: Fury Road in 2015. I left the cinema saying I wanted to work in that field. The combination of action, music, visual effects, and storytelling made a lasting impression on me, and learning about the production sparked my curiosity about how films are made.

Since then, I’ve built a career editing commercials, corporate videos, news reports, podcasts, behind-the-scenes content, and social media videos. My main tools are Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects. My experience includes editing commercials aired on TV Gazeta and, through my current role at BocaTV, contributing to news reports produced for SBT.

As BocaTV’s first video editor, I helped organize the media library and establish editing standards for the company’s main formats. When I was the only editor, I delivered up to 60 videos in a day during peak periods, primarily short videos covering public complaints. This experience strengthened my ability to prioritize tasks, maintain an organized workflow, and meet tight deadlines.

One of the projects I’m most proud of is my work with Bolha Game Studio, creating audiovisual content to promote the game Lyara. The relaxed, humorous style gave me the opportunity to explore a more playful approach to editing. It reinforced how much I enjoy creating content that entertains people.

I welcome feedback and carefully consider how to apply it to each project. I organize my work around the client’s brief and deadlines, with a focus on delivering what the project needs while bringing creative ideas to the process.

I’m currently looking for remote opportunities, particularly with international teams, and I’m also open to roles in Brazil. While much of my experience has been in marketing and corporate content, I’m especially interested in entertainment, YouTube, music videos, and film. I’d love to join a collaborative, creative team that values ideas and gives editors room to contribute.

Outside work, I love films, series, video games, and tabletop RPGs. I’m particularly drawn to 2D illustration and 3D art, and I’m studying 3D with the long-term goal of expanding my career into that field.
