Karthika Saravanan

I’m a MSc Accounting & Finance graduate from the University of Edinburgh, and I received the University of Edinburgh Global Employability Award for strong professional readiness and cross-cultural adaptability. I’m now focused on starting my career in corporate finance, financial accounting, or audit with an India-based MNC s and firms.

My dissertation—“Empirical analysis of overconfidence bias in investor behaviour within politically stable markets”—used Stata for regression modelling, hypothesis testing, and multi-variable analysis. Through this work, I built disciplined research management across design, data collection, statistical analysis, and academic writing, alongside practical knowledge of IFRS reporting and investment analysis.

I also bring a data-driven, execution-focused mindset from my internship as a Marketing Intern at Violet Tech, where I designed and ran social media campaigns for finance courses on the Learnx platform and recruited/managed interns for end-to-end campaign execution. I want to apply my financial modelling, DCF valuation, ratio analysis, and clear communication to support high-quality analysis and reporting.
