Joshua Berweiler

As a Graphic Designer, I was tasked with creating and designing webpages for two major website projects using HTML and CSS. I primarily utilized Adobe Dreamweaver and Visual Studio Code for these projects, learning to clone existing websites and relocate remote resources locally.

During this remote internship for an independent animation company, I experimented with color palettes and text stylization to create a new brand logo. I also developed new button concepts for the company’s Ko-Fi donation page.

As a remote Graphic Artist Intern, I developed and executed brand images for style guides for the main company and the Lachlist app, including in-app icons. I also crafted a lawn sign advertisement using Adobe Illustrator and collaborated on a 3D floor mockup using Blender and Cinema 4D.

I joined a team of creatives to produce graphical material for a crowdfunding campaign for an indie animation pilot, spanning Kickstarter and Indiegogo. My responsibilities included creating title graphics for campaign sections and designing promotional flyers to increase word-of-mouth.

During this internship for a non-profit art gallery, I executed various banner and poster concepts to promote exhibitions. My designs were selected by organizers, including a banner for the 2020 All-Media Exhibition displayed on their website.

As part of an independent on-campus study, I developed designs for promotional flyers and advertisements for upcoming shows at the Pollak Theater’s Center for the Arts. I adapted to small-scale Photoshop formats for newspaper ads and printed approved designs for campus display.

Studied fine arts with a focus on graphic design. Developed skills in layout hierarchy, brand/logo design, video editing/motion graphics, typography, and HTML & CSS.

Completed an Associate in Arts degree. Gained foundational knowledge relevant to further studies in design and arts.

Activities and societies: Developed flyer designs for upcoming productions including Company, The Lemon Tree, and Araggapina. Adapted to working in a small-scale Photoshop format to develop newspaper advertisements.

Conducted an independent study focusing on print design. Developed promotional flyers and advertisements for the Pollak Theater’s Center for the Arts office.
