What I'm looking for

Backend or platform engineering roles with upward mobility and collaborative environment. I'm drawn to teams building projects and products that push boundaries and go above and beyond for client satisfaction.

I've spent the last 4+ years as a backend engineer, mostly in Java, split between financial services at Northern Trust and distribution operations at Shorr Packaging. At Northern Trust I served as Security Champion on 5 enterprise-wide applications, driving OWASP-based secure code review and threat modeling across the development team.

I’m a passionate, self-driven, lifelong learner always eager for the next challenge and to continue improving as an engineer.

I recently built MetricFlow, a Go metrics ingestion service, with the intention of exploring the potential of a modern stack. MetricFlow was built with worker-pool concurrency, backpressure handling, and Prometheus instrumentation. It has been run on AWS EKS, as well as locally on Docker Compose, both with Postgres and Grafana. MetricFlow was also built with Terraform-provisioned infrastructure.

Before MetricFlow, I also built a Java/Spring Boot microservice with Kafka event streaming and CI/CD on ECS. MetricFlow as a whole is farther along and more in-depth than TaskFlow, but both are personal projects I'm proud of.

Software Engineer - Security

Northern Trust

Led development and served as Security Champion across five enterprise applications for 250+ users, driving secure code reviews, threat modeling, and production vulnerability remediation. Built secure REST APIs and microservices in Java/Spring Boot and .NET with OAuth 2.0 and RBAC, and migrated 3+ legacy applications to Azure while reducing deployment time from 2–3 hours to ~15 minutes.
