My career started in customer-facing tech support, working as a Subject Matter Expert and Quality Analyst on Bell Canada's business internet team. That's where I learned to stay calm under pressure. I handled 100+ P1 (critical) incidents over two years without a single escalation, and I built a knowledge base that cut new hire onboarding time in half.

In 2015, I moved into Identity and Access Management at Cognizant, and I've spent the 10+ years since then growing into a Technical Lead role on our IAM engineering team. I work on Broadcom (formerly CA) Identity Manager, developing and configuring Policy Xpress workflows, building ETL pipelines with Pentaho Kettle, and writing SQL/LDAP queries to keep provisioning, reconciliation, and reporting fast and reliable. We support environments with 50,000 to 70,000 user accounts and over 50+ release cycles; I've helped the team sustain a 99.3% production deployment success rate. I also automated our SOX audit and compliance reporting, which now covers 70,000+ users and saves the team 2 to 3 hours of manual work every day.

Beyond the hands-on engineering, I plan and prioritize our backlog, coordinate releases end-to-end, and act as the technical point of contact for stakeholders across North America, Australia, and the Philippines, so a good part of my day is translating between engineering, audit, and business teams.

I like being close enough to the code and systems to actually build and fix things, while also having the visibility to plan and keep a release on track. I'm looking for my next role to build on both of those strengths, ideally somewhere I can keep owning an IAM platform end-to-end, from development through to production, while taking on more scope.
