Install, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation systems for gas turbine generators. Troubleshoot field instruments and control systems, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and support commissioning and testing activities.

Perform troubleshooting tasks to diagnose and correct instrumentation problems in the field. Install, test, and repair fire and gas detection systems, valves, and maintain vibration transducers and speed sensors.

Calibrated GE MS5002B Mark V control system components including Stop Ratio Valve, Gas Control Valve, Nozzle, and Inlet Guide Vanes during startup and maintenance. Verified LVDT excitation voltages and outputs, set zero and span positions, and assisted in unit startup.

Supervised instrument construction activities, ensuring contractors and sub-contractors performed work to agreed standards, specifications, and schedules. Prepared loop checks, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.

Supervised gas turbine upgrade from Mark 2 to Mark 6 and Mark 6e, responsible for final inspection of all instrument systems prior to pre-commissioning and commissioning. Assisted in first start-up of turbines and performed preventative maintenance on pneumatic and electronic process control equipment.

Performed loop checks and functional testing before startup, stroke checked speed ratio valves, gas control valves, and nozzles, and adjusted LVDT feedback. Maintained Bently Nevada 3500 monitoring system and prepared equipment for shutdown and startup.
