My M.Sc. thesis at Metropolitan Autonomous University examined regional connectivity and sea turtle aggregation areas in the southern Gulf of Mexico, using tools relevant to their conservation.
As a Biology Intern at the Department of Man and Environment, Metropolitan Autonomous University, I conducted ecological fieldwork, collected environmental data, and managed biological databases and georeferenced information.
I’ve published research on interactions between small boats and marine turtle aggregation zones in Isla Arena, Campeche, and on urban development and tourism impacts on sea turtles and their habitats. My work includes GIS, satellite telemetry, spatial analysis, and conservation planning.
