I’m an M.Tech (Final Year) candidate in Environmental Engineering at IIT Roorkee, focused on turning wastewater treatment challenges into measurable, data-backed solutions. My work blends environmental process knowledge with statistical modeling and predictive analysis to improve performance and compliance.

Through my internship at Northern Western Railway, I monitored STP performance and regulatory compliance while calculating pollutant removal efficiencies (BOD, COD, TSS, nutrients). I also supported seasonal trend analysis and built an ARIMA-based forecasting approach to strengthen operational insight.

In my M.Tech thesis on “Color Removal from Textile Wastewater,” I’m comparing four treatment routes (Lime + CO2, Fenton oxidation, activated carbon polishing, and conventional coagulation-flocculation). I apply Response Surface Methodology (RSM) to optimize operating conditions and evaluate color/COD reduction, sludge generation, and cost-effective windows.

I extend this research in my study on post-treatment of ETP effluent using sand filtration and activated carbon adsorption, where I achieved COD reduction of 89.7% using activated carbon adsorption. I’m excited to bring this same analytical rigor—plus tools like GIS and R-based EDA/modeling—into an early-career environmental engineering role.
