Dhruv Rakesh

I create 2D animation, visual development, and digital illustrations rooted in storytelling. As an avid reader, I’m drawn to bringing imagination to life through animation and art.

At Bakarmax, I worked as a 2D Animation & Illustration Intern. I’ve also contributed 2D animation and motion graphics at Gaatha - A Tale of Crafts, and worked freelance on video editing and motion graphics for Nautankibaaz Improv Collective.

I animated on the short film The Thirsty Crows and created FEAR, a non-narrative film exploring Stephen King’s principles of fear, which was nominated for the Pune Animation Film Festival 2026. I also collaborated with four classmates on The Intern for the Legend’s Animated 24 Hour Challenge.

I’m currently reworking The Only Light I See, an animated short about a lone space explorer searching for home in the abyss of space. I aim to bring new ideas to the table and deliver creative work to its best possible result.
