At Ambo University, I designed a solar-powered harvesting machine intended to improve crop harvesting efficiency. I modeled assembly components in SolidWorks and aligned the mechanical drivetrain gears.
I sized the solar PV panels, charge controllers, and DC motor drive system, and used ANSYS to analyze chassis stress and loads on rough terrain. I also drafted manufacturing blueprints in AutoCAD.
At the Engineering Design Lab, I assisted students with drafting and 3D modeling, prepared ANSYS Workbench simulation files, and used MATLAB scripts to document design calculations. At the University Mechanical Workshop, I monitored inventory and checked fabricated parts against technical drawings.
