Alice Irungu

I’m a Swahili linguist and remote AI/language specialist with strong expertise in transcription, translation, and linguistic data work. As a native Kiswahili speaker and a BA graduate in Kiswahili, Religion, and Sociology, I bring a careful, language-first approach to every task.

I’ve built hands-on experience in accurate documentation and data management through a government office administrative & documentation internship. I performed data entry and record keeping, drafted, organized, and filed official reports and correspondence, and maintained strict confidentiality with sensitive records.

For remote work, I’m highly reliable and self-directed. I’m comfortable working independently with minimal supervision, meeting strict deadlines, and ensuring accuracy through consistent quality control—especially for audio playback and transcription tasks.

I’m well-suited to remote AI data annotation, audio transcription, and language quality roles. I’m familiar with AI training concepts, including data annotation and language model evaluation, and I apply attention to detail to produce dependable Kiswahili (Kenyan Swahili) outputs.
