What I'm looking for

I’m looking to lead end-to-end Ruby on Rails product development—building reliable production systems, shaping requirements, and partnering transparently with teams while mentoring engineers and improving security and architecture.

I’m a senior full-stack developer who enjoys solving complex architectural challenges and building products that have a positive impact on people’s lives. My core expertise is Ruby on Rails, and I lead the full development lifecycle from shaping requirements to delivering stable, production-ready environments.

As VP of Engineering at CodeMonkey, I architected and delivered high-impact features for a platform serving 32M users, spanning learning flows, course infrastructure, third-party integrations, and payment systems. I designed and implemented scalable backend systems with database optimizations, performance improvements, and major version upgrades, taking full ownership end-to-end while consistently shipping on time and maintaining system stability.

I managed a team of 2 engineers while staying hands-on in development—driving engineering standards through code reviews, mentoring, task prioritization, and cycle planning. I also acted as Security Officer, leading application and infrastructure security efforts such as dependency auditing, auth hardening, risk assessments, and handling ethical hacker reports, while promoting company-wide security best practices.

Earlier, I served as Technical Lead and then Software Developer at CodeMonkey, continuing to build web applications and strengthen architecture through collaborative execution. Before that, I worked as a Software Engineer at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and as a Computer Network Manager in the Israel Defense Forces—experiences that shaped my focus on clear communication, transparency, continuous learning, and meaningful collaboration.
