Data Science Engineer – Contractor

Kaizen Analytix LLC, an analytics consulting services and product firm that gives clients unmatched speed to value through analytics solutions and actionable business insights, is seeking candidates for a talented Data Science Engineer to join our team.

As a Data Science Engineer, you will be expected to support existing data science use cases / optimization processes and the associated data engineering work that goes into supporting them. The ideal candidate will have a background in data science and data engineering, including experience with DataBricks, ETL processes, Python, SQL, Alteryx and PowerBI.

Responsibilities:

Ability to understand, assess, and explain the underlying data science techniques like forecasting and optimization
Design and develop scripts necessary for the data extraction processes
Automate the data extraction and modeling processes as necessary
Work on data analysis and development related assignments as required

Job Requirements:

Education and Experience:

PhD in Operations Research, Econometrics, or other applied mathematical discipline OR Master’s in Operations Research, Econometrics, or other applied mathematical discipline with at least 2 years of relevant professional experience

Master’s degree in Operations Research, Data Science, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Econometrics, Computer Science, or other applied mathematical discipline, with at least 3 years of relevant professional experience

Expertise in statistical and data analysis, forecasting, and optimization
Experienced in Python, SQL
- DataBricks experience a plus
Experience with PowerBI
Experience with Alteryx or Knime a plus
Familiar with Scrum Methodology & JIRA
Excellent written, verbal skills
