The Role:
As the Director of Quality Assurance and Product Integrity, you will be at the forefront of meeting and exceeding our customer expectations through our safety, efficacy, and quality. This strategic position entails a dual responsibility that combines ensuring comprehensive compliance with all regulatory requirements with the proactive leadership of our Quality Assurance function.
You will lead cross-functional teams to establish and maintain rigorous risk assessments, develop and implement robust risk mitigation strategies, and oversee detailed product testing and validation plans.
This role involves balancing technical acumen with leadership capabilities; you will drive the continuous improvement of product integrity and quality assurance practices, ensuring that every product meets the new industry standards for safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Led and managed a team of quality professionals, domestically and internationally, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quality assurance practices throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Drive the development and maintenance of quality systems, including process controls, product testing, and inspection protocols.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance strategies and processes across several product categories.
  • Analyze customer feedback and market trends to identify opportunities for product quality improvements.
  • Manage supplier quality programs, including audits, performance evaluations, and collaborative improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee the handling and resolution of quality issues, ensuring timely and effective responses to customer complaints and regulatory inquiries.
  • Report on quality performance metrics and insights to senior management, providing strategic recommendations and action plans.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, and/or Chemical Engineering, or a related field is a must.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in quality assurance, with a proven track record in a leadership role within the CPG, Automotive, and/or Medical device industry
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems and regulatory standards relevant to the CPG sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements related to product safety and quality, including CPSC, FDA, and EPA regulations.
  • Strong understanding of product testing standards and validation methodologies. experience working with 3rd party certification and testing labs.
  • Understanding of risk management principles and the ability to develop and implement risk mitigation plans related to product quality and safety.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma, and the ability to apply these methodologies to improve product quality and efficiency.
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions based on available information.
  • Experience with consumer complaint management processes, including complaint investigation, resolution, and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Experience managing teams and driving results through others. Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions based on available information.
  • Six Sigma certifications will be a plus. Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced

We believe that all employees should be paid fairly and equitably. As of the time of this posting, the expected base annual salary range for this position is $160,000-$170,000 . (For non-exempt roles, this reflects the expected base annual “salary” as calculated by the base hourly wage multiplied by the expected number of hours worked over a one year period, excluding any overtime and premiums.) The actual base annual salary will be based on a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, and experience, as well as business needs and limitations. As a result, compensation may vary within and across similar roles and positions. Please note that the base annual salary range information set forth above is a good faith estimate for this position and actual compensation for any individual may fall outside this range if warranted by the circumstances applicable to that individual. If we identify a role that would be suitable for a broader range of skills and experience such that we would consider hiring at multiple levels then the range listed above may reflect that breadth. If offered a position, the actual base annual salary will be contained in your offer letter.
In addition to the base annual salary listed above, this position is eligible for short-term [and long-term] incentive compensation, as well as benefits, which are subject to the applicable plans, policies and definitive documentation regarding such compensation and benefits.
