Role Summary:

Specialisterne USA is currently seeking a highly motivated sales professional to join their team. You will play a key role in supporting organizational growth while building and maintaining meaningful relationships with new and existing employer clients. Reporting into the CEO, you will work as part of a remote and ambitious team operating in a dynamic environment.

  • This is a full-time, salaried role
  • Target Start Date: ASAP
  • Travel: Some occasional travel within the US for client meetings; one yearly international travel to Europe for team meetings

Essential Tasks - In this job, you will:

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to influence our business and strategy, playing a central role in developing and implementing strategies and tactics to ensure high client satisfaction and the establishment of long-lasting collaborative relationships.

  • Advocate for and promote the importance of diversity in business environments that the North American and global teams are either currently engaged with or seeking partnership with (via networking, providing education, social media, cold calling and other relevant channels)
  • Build and maintain strong and trusting relationships with business stakeholders and key decision makers at complex organizations with the goal of growing and building accounts (account management)
  • Effectively communicate Specialisterne’s service offerings while increasing awareness of the business value in employing neurodivergent talent
  • Represent Specialisterne in various sales and marketing-related forums, either independently or in collaboration with the CEO/Head of Program Delivery.
  • Participate in global sales efforts in coordination with Specialisterne hubs around the world and servicing global clients, including sales strategy where relevant
  • Coordinate the development of business proposals for existing and new customers, and close business deals by negotiating contracts and integrating their requirements with business operations (such as non-disclosure agreements, statements of work, Master Service Agreements and other similar documents)

  • A dedicated interest in advocating for marginalized groups to be fully included in workplaces and communities across the US and globally
  • A passion for relationship-based sales and identifying creative and progressive solutions to business problems presented.

Digital/Technical Skills - In this job you will demonstrate:

  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Word or similar tools (ability to review and populate proposals using various templates, negotiate terms using comments and review features, redline, accept or reject comments/redlines, and populate final copies of contracts using various templates)
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Excel or similar tools (ability to collect and organize data, add and delete data rows/columns, and use basic visualization and graphing functions)
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Powerpoint or similar tools (ability to create frameworks for presentations to tell a story while pitching services to potential or current partners)
  • Basic skills with video conferencing tools (such as Google Meet, Zoom, MS Teams)
  • Exposure to scheduling tools (such as Calendly, Google Scheduler) is nice to have but not required
  • Exposure to e-signature tools (such as DocuSign, Fillable PDFs) is nice to have but not required

Education/Knowledge - In this job you need to have:

  • A degree, diploma or certificate in Business, Commerce, Finance, HR Management, Non-profit Leadership, Macro Social Work and/or Public Policy or a related field, or equivalent experience

Experience - In this job you need to have:

  • Demonstrated experience and proven success in a sales, business development or consulting role in a private corporate sector and/or non-profit environment
  • Experience summarizing or visualizing current pipeline activities with tools such as HubSpot, similar CRM systems, or Excel is nice to have but not required

  • Facilitating multiple conversations to navigate unclear expectations of what large and complex companies want
  • Managing time and communication effectively can be challenging (such as returning missed phone calls and weekly or bi-weekly scheduling to move employer partners through the pipeline)
  • Managing tight deadlines and responding in a reasonable amount of time to keep the sales cycle continuous (such as responding to clients within 24-48 hours)
  • Dealing with ongoing changes to services as the business is curating their neuro- inclusive strategy (such as regular changes that may arise as more information is provided and budgets are secured)
  • Navigating the contracting process for procurement can include delays, lack of response, and legal jargon
  • Knowing when to escalate issues versus trying to solve them independently
  • Working in a fast-paced start-up environment where you may experience a high level of change and development while also navigating an ever evolving mission
