Back End Developer – Australia

We are hiring at Now Book It for a Back-End Developer to join our growing team in Australia!

Now Book It is a leading restaurant reservation software development company with over 7500 customers. We are looking for passionate, enthusiastic, and proactive developers. We have grown from a team of 3 to 30 in the last 3 years with no sign of stopping as we expand into international markets.

Here is a little window into our company: Now Book It was acquired by Valsoft and now operates under the Aspire Software Portfolio. Aspire Software, the operational arm of Valsoft Corp, operates and manages Valsoft’s global portfolio of wholly owned software companies, providing mission-critical solutions across multiple verticals. By implementing industry best practices, Aspire delivers a time-sensitive integration process, and the operation of a decentralized model has allowed it to become a hub for creating rapid growth by reinvesting in its portfolio.

We work in agile 2-week sprints using Jira, confluence, slack, and Git. There are multiple projects on the go, and we also have a dedicated front-end team looking after Progressive Web Apps and Back End and Microservices teams.

The successful candidate can be based anywhere in Australia!

Tech skills:

• Strong experience (intermediate - expert level) in .NET / Core using C#, Web API
• Demonstrated experience working with REST APIs, Exposure to Micro Services / SOA
• At least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar related discipline is highly advantageous
• Good understanding of SOLID principles
• Experience in writing Unit and Integration tests
• Experience working with relational databases (MSSQL) non-relational is a plus
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like Azure or AWS is a plus
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle/practices
• Knowledge of working with CI/CD is a must
• Knowledge of different hosting systems(Understanding the impact of hosting systems on end applications is vital)

Nice to haves:

• React.js - or Angular.js/4+ or any other front-end framework.
• Exposure or hands-on skill for container tech stack.

Soft Skills:

• Able to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills and the ability to act with professionalism in a team environment
• Resolve issues and provide support
• Demonstrate the ability to stay on task as well as self-manage
• Must be legally authorized to work in Australia
